About Helen

My interest in a healthy body mind system brought me onto the journey to explore and study different kinds of therapeutic modalities.
In 1996, in Germany, I attended a couple of seminares about the principles of Ayurveda, the nutritional aspect and how to use and prepare healing plants. In 1997 it happend that I spend half a year in India and Nepal, where I completed an authentic Ayurvedic Massage Training @ The Ayurveda Health Home and Research Centre and it happend to be that I worked as an Ayurvedic practitioner over the past 12 years.
My extended travel through India left a strong imprecision on me and a influenced my life further. Besides deepening my knowledge about Ayurveda it also brought me in contact with the teaching of Sri Ramana Maharshi and the question of "Who am I'. Fascinated by this I embarked on my own inner journey to see for myself. Here I would like to acknowledge my teacher and friend Isaac Shapiro who guided me on my path of embodied awareness over some years. My own personal experience of being present and being awareness has influenced all areas in my life.
In 2002 I moved permanently to Cape Town, South Africa where I opened a practise for Ayurvedic massage and nutritional coaching. Here I met my beloved husband with whom I now share my passions and visions in life.
While working as a body worker (Shiatsu. Dorn Manual Spinal Therapy) and healer, with focus on Ayurveda, I studied Family Constellations Work from 2004 to 2006 through Family Constellations Africa in Cape Town. Family Constellations Work fascinated me for many years whilst still living in Germany where the work is very acknowledged and widely spread and it was a great opportunity for me to attend the first training ever offered in Africa.
After my 2 years training I started to run Family Constellations Workshop with my husband and since then we are running monthly workshops, retreats and working in individual settings in Cape Town, Johannesburg. For the past 2 years we get invited to facilitate workshops in Wexford (Ireland) and Munich(Germany).
Since 2007 I am attending the annual International Intensive Training for Family Constellations and Systemic Resolutions Work in Germany. The annual training runs over 1 week and includes 60 hours of training with the worlds most experienced and recognised facilitators. The focus in the trainings over the past 3 years has been Family Constellations, Organisational Constellations, trauma work in Family Constellations and Systemic resolutions using the Constellations method.
My trainers in Family Constellations and Systemic Constellations include:
Dr. Gunthard Weber, Jane Peterson, Dr. Ursula Franke, Guni Baxter, Christine Essen, Dagmar Ingwersen, Hunter Beaumont, Jakob and Sieglinde Schneider, Judith Hemming, Stephan Hausner. Johannes B. Schmidt, Frank Gallenmüller, Daan van Kampenhout, Sne Victoria Schnabel, Francesca Mason Boring,
In 2008 I attended Irina Prekop's workshop and training in "Child- parent reconciliation through visualisation and holding". Irina is a well-known family therapist in Europe and the leading facilitator for Holding Therapy. She worked very closely with Bert Hellinger and Family Constellatons Work.
In 2006 I attended a short course in Applied Psychologie by Dr. Ilse v.d.Merwe from RAU
Combining my passion for nature and a healthy body-mind system with the awareness of who I am and the healing art of Family Constellations, I provide my clients with a firm and stable ground from where they are able to see old patterns, acknowledge the truth and move forward in life in a good and healthy way. I work with an open heart and this enables me to hold my clients, no matter of how deep their processes are, and to provide a safe space. My love for Family and Systemic Constellations has meant that I have made this work my focus, although all my life's teachings and education guide and support me and my clients in every way needed.

Something inside me is not quite the same. I do feel different, more at peace and more calm. I also seem to be more accepting of myself. - Workshop Participant
