2) A Constellation is a 3D representation of any system to which we belong. The most influential system to which we belong is our Family System (Family of Origin). Through life we become members of many other systems. Eg: Current Family (wife and children), friendship system, work system, sports system, political system, school system and we also belong to our body system. All of these systems can be looked at using the method of Constellations Work.
A constellation is done using representatives (participants) in a workshop. The Constellator (Client) selects people out of the group of participants to represent important family members or elements related to their issue and places them in a spatial relationship to each other in the work space. Once all the representatives have been placed intuitively in their position the client sits down and observes the process. The Constellator will observe, for the most part, from outside the constellation field or work space.
3) A Constellation can be experienced in an individual session, group workshop or retreat.
4) Booking for a Constellation is both quick and simple. If you are interested in booking in for a workshop or retreat, simply go to the next workshop or next retreat page off the home page and fill out the booking form. Select the dates of the workshop which you would like to attend and submit the form. You will then be guided via email as to what steps to take next. For an Individual session, simply click on the Contact Us button and send us an enquiry form with a few possible dates and times which you have available. We will then contact you back via e-mail with a confirmation.
5) No. The whole family does not need to come so that there can be a possitive effect or change.
6) We work with children on an individual bassis from the age of 12 onwards. This is the time when children begin to step into their own selves and have the awareness to process this kind of work. Children that are younger, still benefit from the parents doing their work....which ripples down to the child.
7) The benefits of the work are the same no matter if you attend a workshop or an individual session. It is an individual prefference of what a person would like to do and if a person feels more comfortable in a private session or is happy to join a group. The benefits of joining a group workshops are that you get the opportunity to stand in as a representative in other peoples constellations. Read also why be a representative? In a workshop we also include many body awareness exercises which are great tools to support you through your daily life.
8) The number of sessions or Constellations depends on the complexity in our lives. In general, you would only need to do one constellation for one issue. Constellations work is a short term therapeutic work that is solution focused. In many cases we look at an issue and get a resolution within one constellation. What can happen is that this then unlocks other dynamics and diturbances which you may also want to resolve. In this case a second Constellation may be required.
9) No. Constellations work is a complamentray process that in most cases supports the work being done by other therapist. Not only psychologists, but counsellors, coaches, body talk practitioners and kinesiologists.
10) A Constellation can resolve the cause of an issue in just one session, giving emotional healing and emotional release helping you to find more acceptance and peace in your life.
Having your own Family Constellation is a wonderful way for you to become aware of what is going on at a soul level in your family system as well as the collective energy of the family or group. All you need to get the most out of your constellation is a desire for change and a relatively small amount of time and money. Normally all you need is one constellation for one issue after which you can begin to enjoy life to the fullest. Setting up your own Family Constellation allows you the opportunity to examine the dynamics of your situation from an impartial position and allow healing of relationships to take place. In a Family Constellation you will see the bigger picture, which might involve other influences from previous generations that you may not have been aware of. The constellation will reveal a new reality and also facilitate emotional release and healing. Following integration of your constellation, you will be able to make the most of your relationships and feel more whole within yourself as you move forward in life.

Constellations basically look at two questions. Firstly, what entangles one family member in the fate of another and what might resolve this entanglment? Secondly, what is needed to support a free flow of love? These basic questions unfold in a multitude of different ways in constellations work. - J Schneider 2007 (ISCA Faculty Member)
