Arrival Day

The arrival day was a typical first day of reuniting and contacting with old friends and meeting new ones. We were welcomed with tea, coffee and cake in the garden room as per normal, followed by dinner and the introduction and welcome talk.

As we arrived we emmediately saw Andrea and then Di in the entrance hall. We went up to our rooms, dropped off our bags and then one the way down bumped into Robyn and then Richard and Janet. So within the first hour of arrival we had seem all the SA arrivals and made contact. There are many old firiends here this year as well as some good faculty colleagues withwhom we have a good contact.

The welcome talk was given by Hunter(as per normal) and he was amusing and clear in this introduction of the week ahead and what we can all expect.

This year for the first time Hunter made specific mention that the International Intensive is not a training but rather an opportunity to learn. Translated menas that this experience is not a qualification in Family Constellations facilitation. He emphesised that it is upton the integrity of each individual to decide when they are ready to facilitate and train.

I personally had an interesting cha with Fung from Shanghai about training and what a good cariculum would like like. He made a few interesting points. Most interesting for me is that the training cariculum is a work in progress and that it will take years before it is in a form that can be set as an official standerd.

After all the high energy of meeting old friends, re-connecting, meeting new colleagues and just arriving here, we both felt totally exhausted and fell right into bed. ;-)

More specific updates will follow about training and specific trainers messages. Stay tuned.

Impressions

Something inside me is not quite the same. I do feel different, more at peace and more calm. I also seem to be more accepting of myself. - Workshop Participant
